📋 PRACTICAL INSTRUCTIONS
USING ESSENTIAL TOOLS
💧 WATER PURIFICATION
Filterwell water filter (top priority)
- Step 1: Find a water source (river, lake, rain)
- Step 2: Pre-filter with a cloth if the water is very murky
- Step 3: Submerge the filter in the water, suck through the nozzle
- Capacity: Up to 2000 liters (1 person kit = 400L)
- ⚠️ WARNING: Does NOT filter seawater or chemicals
Alternative method: Boiling
- Use pots + mini stove
- Bring the water to a boil for at least 3 minutes
- Let cool before consumption
🔥 STARTING A FIRE
⚠️ LIGHTER/MATCHES NOT PROVIDED The kit contains 60 fire starter sticks but NO ignition source (prohibited in transport). Make sure you have added lighters or matches BEFORE leaving!
With fire starters (60 sticks provided)
- Step 1: Find a sheltered spot from the wind
- Step 2: Create a nest of small dry twigs
- Step 3: Light 1 stick with your lighter, place it in the center
- Step 4: Gradually add larger pieces of wood
- Burning time/stick: ~10 minutes
🏕️ CREATE A SHELTER
With the 3-in-1 poncho
- Shelter setup: Unfold the poncho, secure the corners with paracord
- Anchoring: Use carabiners to attach to trees/stakes
- Tilt: 45° to shed rain
- Ground: Use the thermal sleeping bag as insulation
📡 COMMUNICATION
Baofeng walkie-talkies (2 pieces)
- Range: 3-5 km in open terrain
- Channel: Set all devices to the same channel (e.g., Channel 1)
- Battery: Recharge with solar panel + Type-C cable
- Usage: Press the side button to talk, release to listen
Crank and solar radio (+ built-in power bank)

🩹 FIRST AID - EMERGENCIES
⚠️ SEVERE BLEEDING
- Call 15 or 112 immediately
- Direct pressure: Press hard on the wound with a clean cloth
- Maintain pressure without releasing for 10 minutes
- If blood soaks through, add another cloth ON TOP (do not remove the first one)
- If limb: elevate it above the heart
BURNS
1. Cool with cold water (15 min)
2. Do NOT pop blisters
3. Sterile dressing (kit)
FRACTURES
1. Immobilize the limb
2. Do NOT attempt to realign
3. Call 15
🧭 ORIENTATION
Using the compass
- Lay it flat on your hand
- The red needle points to magnetic North
- Turn until the N on the compass aligns with the needle Sun method
- (without a compass): The sun rises in the East, sets in the West
⚡ ENERGY MANAGEMENT

- Deployment: Face it towards the sun, adjust the angle every 2 hours
- Smartphone charging: 2-3 hours in full sun
- Order of priority: 1) Phone, 2) Radio/power bank, 3) Walkie-talkies
